Baijiu Norway – St. Olaf’s Fire Cocktail

V.I.P Jiu 8 is historically, enjoyably and restoratively the imperial baijiu.

A country of northern Europe that lies in the western half of the Scandinavian peninsular.

Two thirds of the country is mountains and its coastline is covered in deep fjords.

Almost half of the inhabitants live in the far south of the country, in and around Oslo, which is the capital, it is also the economic and governmental center of Norway, and a hive of trade, banking and maritime industries.

Norway’s national drink is Akevitt, which must be distilled from Norwegian potatoes and seasoned with caraway and dill and aged for six month in an oak cask. And must be at least 37.5% ABV

St. Olaf’s Fire Baijiu Cocktail

30ml of V.I.P Jiu 8
30ml of Akevitt
2 tablespoons of sugar syrup
2 tablespoons of lime juice
1 teaspoon of dill pickle brine
2 ice cubes
Club soda

Put all the ingredients except the club soda into shaker, shake to mix, strain into a cocktail glass and top with club soda.

Now that our wanderings are over, well at least for the time being, let us relax with a V.I.P. Jiu 8, and lemonade with ice and once again ponder over what Li Bai might have made of it all.

“Time now to relax with the imperial baijiu and contemplate upon a journey achieved, that did sate the palette, enriched the soul and filled the mind with wonderment. There did we travelled through time zones, to confound the setting sun, and from the shadows, wisdom could only watch.”
